Awestruck

I know this is supposed to be a site about primarily the I Ching, and secondly, gnostic or esoteric Christianity. I promise, we will get back to that, but I am awestruck at some of the current events. As much as I have known for sometime the rocky road that was ahead of us, I was not prepared for what is coming sooner than I thought. I still say 2008 is the date after which the big stuff will happen, but there will very well be some precursors, or warning signs, of a very serious nature before that, and indeed, we have already seen one big sign with the tsunami that struck Indonesia, Dec 2005, I believe was the date. More is coming, maybe not that per se, but more. 2008 though is the dividing point, for that is when the national ID card comes into effect, and when the sun spot cycle takes a much more serious tone, as this one appears to be the biggest in history. It is said, "as above, so below." In other words, "The heavens declare the glory of God," But it is just as true that, as below, so above, and we here below are doing a lot of crazy stuff, and the leaders of the countries of the world are leading us bold faced to the brink of war. How could there not be sunspot activity when the world has gone crazy. My own feeling about it is this wonderful technology we have developed is creating some side effects, like nuclear winter, for one example, and the natural mind will have to brush it aside. It is more than possible that in the new age, there will be no computers, no electricity even, and no gas driven engines, etc. etc., but we will also live in an eternal spring where everything is provided for us. We will be one with nature. Please bear with me as I get over my shock over the rapidity with which this is overtaking us. It is a matter of both a government, all governments, as well as nature going awry, and creating what has been described in sacred literature, as the great purging, or great tribulation. What really bothers me is that there is no place to run, no place to hide, and no place to go that can be assured of safety, especially if one is not willing to accept the national ID card, or even if one does, the consequences can be even worse. It will take me a little time to get back into balance and rhythm.

50 line 3 part 3

In fact my new years resolution of having a more coherent site, so far, is not becoming manifest. Believe me, though, sometimes it is so hard to determine what should be spoken of next, how, and why, who will read, and what effect will it have? I hear things from day to day that jog my memory, or at least shock me into thinking a further topice is more important and pertinent at this point in time. Nevertheless, for now I will continue with hexagram 50 line 3, and see if I can't do this and then speak a little on a different topic. But in this immediate instant, let me just say, that the news I am receiving as to what is happenning behind the scenes in the news is shocking, even for me who is not so likely to be shocked. If anyone doubts this is the end of the Piscean age, you won't doubt much longer. The weather, the sun, and politics are all acting up now in unbelievable ways, and it is all interrelated. We are headed for a crisis, a serious one, that soon, even the doubters cannot dispell. I discussed on another forum, and I must say I went overboard and showed what I am sure sounded like hostility because things I knew for a fact were happening, were being challenged. I apologize for that to anyone who might be reading this who remembers. I do get a little overly perturbed, to put it mildly, when people challenge my knowledge of the coming new age. This is my area where I need to practice forgiveness. I bring this up because of a discussion I had regarding Yellowstone National Park, and the thermal activity there. Today, there were some earthquake swarms around Yellowstone National Park. This in itself means little, and there has long been some activity there. However, this is being portrayed in the midst of mucLine h news of a planet overall whose weather and geological disposition seem to be getting more and more out of balance. Nature is part of the universal subconscious mind machine, and when that mind machine feels itself becoming out of balance, it will, and I mean emphatically, IT WILL, rebalance itself, whatever it takes. This is involved in the nature of the interchange between yin and yang.

Anyway, the text of line three next says, "The fat of the pheasant is not eaten." When our understanding of the I Ching is not adequate, we cannot truly eat of its bounty. This is another way of saying, as in hexagram 48, line 3, "The well is cleaned, but no one drinks from it..." In hexagram 48, we do not drink the waters, and in hexagram 50, we do not eat from its bounty. We may receive this line when we are not using the knowledge we are being given, or we may receive this line when we do not understand the message that is presented to us. It may also be the case that we receive this line when we have something to share, but no one to share it with. This is true on both the cosmic level, and on the individual level. The I Ching has something to share, but its knowledge and its wisdom is not known or recognized. This is the case when our minds our still convinced of a cold dead universe with a consciousness other than individual consciousnesses. The I Ching is not recognized for what it is, the Bible is not recognized for what it is, the Upanishads, the Tao Teh Ching, or what have you. Line three of hexagram 48 is very, very similar to line three of hexagram 50. Both discuss a situation where an able man is available, but no one recognizes him. In our society, we recognize movie stars, great singers, great dancers, and other entertainers fairly quickly. This is because these kinds of talenta are noticeable, and attractive. The great men and women, the sages, the holy ones, have talents that do not readily appear, and because much of society is not ready mentally and emotionally to understand their value, they of necessity hide their light, though they still shine to those who are mentally, emotionally, and spiritually prepared to recognize their talent.

50 line 3 continued-

In the next part of line 3 it states, "One is impeded in his way of life." If our grasp of the I Ching is incorrect, it will affect us in some area of our life. It has been said, "we all wear rose colored glasses." In other words, we perceive life in a way that is natural to our mind set, and our mind set affects our reality, therefore, there are many realities. If we cannot correctly use or understand the I Ching, there is an impairment to our way of life. It has also been said, "we are all blind, just blind to different things." We all have a blind spot in our thinking. Our blind spot will keep us from a correct understanding of the I Ching. We all understand the I Ching in many different ways and on different levels, yet even in that context, we have misperceptions. Again, it has been said that we cannot see a thing until we are ready to see it. We will not accept something as true until we are ready to see it in our deeper mind. The way to overcome this is to daily and perseveringly persist in study and meditation. Then the real truth, or at least the truth on a deeper level will eventually become apparent. But as the commentary says, "But if he will only see to it that he is possessed of something spiritual, the time is bound to come, sooner or later, when the difficulties will be resolved and all will go well."

Hexagram 50 line 3

This I think, is a very important line, and one that we ought to take a quick look at because it is rather easy to see the relationship between the I Ching and the querent in this line. There are several sayings in the text of this line. We will take them one at a time and see the personal usage of these sayings.

The first line says, “The handle of the ting is altered.

The handle is often the means by which we grab or grasp things. It is important that we grasp the material being taught us correctly. Of course, until we reach a certain level of understanding, we cannot grasp. We may grasp a more momentary meaning, but the true meanings are left cold to us until we are mentally, emotionally, and spiritually ready to grasp on the next level. When we receive this line, there is a good possibility that we are not grasping the meaning of the material that was meant for us. It is also possible that we are ready to go onto the next level, but are simply not “getting it” yet. A third meaning here is that perhaps one is attempting to teach us the I Ching, but is not yet ready for as high a level as his students are. As teachers, we must take a great deal of responsibility for the correctness of the teaching. We, as teachers must also maintain an air of humbleness. We must honor the student as much as the student honors us. And that honoring is not meant to be an ostentatious response, but a recognition of the value of both the teacher and the student. The teacher is not to represent himself higher than he is, nor belittle the student, even in the sense of looking down on the student’s lesser knowledge.

Since it has been a while since I have posted anything, I am going to do it now, and finish this line later, but I want to get something out there, and let people know I am still around.

Writing soon

Believe me, I will be writing again soon on the I Ching. Hold tight, but right now, I have been spending a lot of time listening to some very special reports. Any of you who are keeping abreast of the news behind the news, (the daily news is crap) if you are truly paying attention, you cannot help but come to the conclusion, this age, the age of Pisces, is coming to an end. Things have been slowly simmering, and the nonbelievers still say, all this has happened before, nothing big is changing, but now they are starting to come to a boil. Things are absolutely fascinating. It is coming to a time when men's and women's souls will be tested to the core. A superstorm is happening in Europe. The U.S. and/or Israel will soon be attacking Iran. The Chinese have shot down one of their old satellites. Chuck Berry, (I believe that's the name.) sang in the sixties, the interesting song, "The Eastern World, it is exploding..." Even back then, but nothing like what is happening now. And listen folks, the war in Iran will most likely have nuclear overtones and exchanges. It is coming now, and it is coming quick. I will tell you this, again, the really big stuff will be happening after the year 2008, but there is going to be enough happening before then, people will be opening some eyes. The fireworks are coming. Doon and gloom? No, the new age, once it is here, will be wonderful, but as a woman in travail....

A couple of books

A couple of books I highly recommend are by Gary Renard. The first one is called the "Disappearance of the Universe," and the second one is called, "Your Immortal Reality." These books clearly illustrate the science of oneness. Gary comes from the perspective described in "A Course in Miracles," which I have not spent a lot of time with. It seems extremely wordy, and would take up a lot of my time, not that I don't recommend it. With what Gary has come up with though, it must be a worthy course.

Pluto

I've talked before about Pluto and how it will affect the world when it goes into Capricorn. Looks like there is a new book out about it. I will have to go back and listen for the name.

I haven't written anything lately because I have been sick, but also, it appears no one at all is reading. But just in case, I will talk about this very briefly. The last time Pluto was in Capricorn, America won its independence. Now we may have to rewin it from those who are attempting to take it away from us. I personally believe that governments around the world will fall. We are heading for a very rocky road, but of course, when it is over, the new age will come for those few survivors. But don't worry, those who don't survive will also reincarnate. But after 2008, and maybe to a lessor extent before, we are heading for some very rocky times. I am more than open to discussion on this subject.

After much discussion with tech support, and after calling them last night and getting nowhere, I worked late into the night to figure out how to upload my files with no success. Figuring I would call tech support again this morning, I got up to find a new file and folder that wasn't there before. Then, upon opening it, I came up with the following:

Hexagram thirty six

A brief introduction to hexagram thirty six here, more coming later.

In hexagram thirty we discussed various ways a person can get diverted from the path, or in other words, the T'ao. This is due more to getting distracted. In hexagram thirty six, we can also get diverted, but here it is more of a case of getting discouraged, and giving up.

It is the ego, primarily, which is our mortal enemy. The ego wishes to be in charge, even in situations, and most situations apply, for which it is not inately up to the challenge. Nevertheless, it has an overtly egoistic desire to try, to be in front. When it cannot, it creates problems.

"Darkening of the light" refers to our "inner light," or perhaps, it can be said as well, "inner truth." The light cannot be extinguished, it is always there, but the ego will invariably create a "covering," ("The curtain is of such fullness That the polestars can be seen at noon. Hexagram fifty five, line two.}" It attempts to cover the light because, if it does not, it will be seen for what it is. ("Progress like a hamster, Perseverance brings danger." Hexagram thirty five, line four.)

When Darkening of the light occurs, it is important not to become discouraged. At this time it is particularly important to "persevere in what is correct." (See Carol Anthony's book, "I Ching, the oracle of the cosmic way.")A person must ever hold to his/her "inner light/inner truth." The first line defines the problem a little deeper. The text says, "Darkness of the light during flight." The flight is symbolic of our spiritual passageway. We fly when we enter the heavenly realms. It is such a great temptation along the way though, when we are trying to understand spiritual matters to say, "this does not seem to help me." It may make sense, but we cannot apply it yet to our daily lives. We cannot apply it because we cannot yet put it in its proper perspective. Precisely at this point we become discouraged. When we become discouraged, we "lower our wings." In other words we give up, leave the spiritual realm, and decide the dark inert, hard matter, is all there really is after all, and the universe does not hear our prayer.

Hexagram thirty

Hexagram thirty gives us a lot of information on “how to keep going.” In other words, to stay focused, and not move away from our goals. The commentary tells us that “a luminous thing giving out light must have something that perseveres, otherwise it will in time burn itself out." Hexagram thirty is about remaining true to our inner heart and its purpose. The various lines in general describe situations that can, if we let them, make us lose heart, get discouraged, or just take our mind off our goals. The impetus of the world is to distract us, get our mind, our attention on other things of lesser worthiness. We go to work, we go to school, we do things that are necessary, yet if allowed, can get us off our spiritual path. The second and fifth lines, being central are less of a problem, but each line gives us some hint as to how to maintain our purpose and our goal amidst all the distractions and pulls of life. (Compare this hexagram with the Biblical story of the sower of the seeds.)

Line one tells us that if we are not dedicated to our purpose, the hustle and bustle of life will make us forget the path we are to take. We get distracted by day to day activities that cannot be totally avoided. They will divert our attention, so there is a need to constantly remind ourselves of our inner purpose.

Line two is not so much of a problem, but it does teach us to “hold to the mean.” In other words we must maintain mental and emotional balance in our day to day affairs. If we let daily problems and irritations detract us long term, then we lose sight of our inner purpose.

Line three warns us against inconsistency. Momentary whims and upsets can rip us away from our inner purpose, our spiritual goals and teaching. It is also easy to fall prey to various moods which can cause us to think that what we are attempting is futile or beyond our reach. Getting caught up in day to day emotions can create havoc in our long time spiritual practice, causing us to divert our attention, to be held captive by our emotions.

Line four warns us to pace ourselves, and stick to the course. It is not wise to start a long race at full speed, by attempting too much too quickly, our fire soon burns out and we are left exhausted.

Line five tells us to have a true change of heart. A momentary inclination to improve ourselves is not enough. The desire must be deep, deep enough to overcome the cares and distractions of the world. Otherwise, we will find ourselves right back in the same situation as when we started.

Line six tells us we must take ourselves in hand. We must provide discipline to stay the course. It is not necessary to worry about the little things in this context, but master the big things. When teaching Tai Chi, some teachers will try to teach the details first. This does not work. It only becomes confusing and disheartening. If the major overall movement is worked on daily, eventually the movement will be understood and the details will begin to take care of themselves. We must keep our mind on the overall course, as we walk it, talk it, work it, and practice it, we become more familiar with the inner workings of the small things, and they are important too, but take care of the big things first, then the rest will be relatively easy.

Last (hopefully) football diversion

Well the last time I spoke about football, I called the Tampa Bay Buccaneers the original cardiac kids. Since then they have been little more than a joke, professionally wise, anyway. I guess I should have kept my mouth shut. Now that the regular season is over I have no more interest in football except for the superbowl itself, and that only because it is the unwritten code among men that you either watch football, or there must be something wrong with you. Well, I only watch the home team, and since I went to Boise State University, I watched them last night, in a game that wasn't over til after 1:00 AM ET. In fact, it went into overtime. Last night Boise State was the cardiac kids. They were the underdogs, and a lot of people were more than puzzled as to why Boise State would make it to a BCS Bowl game anyway and were expecting a blowout by the Oklahoma Sooners. (A school from my mother's home town by the way. She was an avid Sooner fan.) Well, Boise State got off to an early lead and never looked back, that is, until the last two minutes of the game. With under two minutes to go, Oklahoma struck, and tied the game up. Then, the next play from the line of scrimmage they intercept a Zabrinsky pass, and off they go to the races. A minute and nine seconds left to go, everyone thought Boise State had lost. But, BSU still had a minute left, so, on after reaching the fifty yard line, they throw a pass, a hook and lateral pass, and the runner goes racing into the end zone. No time left, the game is going into overtime. One of the reasons people thought Oklahoma would blow BSU out was that Oklahoma had Adrian Peterson, the top running back in the country. (Of course, Boise State had Ian Johnson, possibly the second best, but everyone thought he had run against inferior teams - by the way, on national TV after the game he proposed to his cheerleader sweetheart and she said yes.) Well, Boise State had shut down Adrian all night long, til the first play from the line of scrimmage in overtime, at which time he took the ball and ran straight into the end zone, practically untouched. But it was not the sudden death type of overtime, so Boise State gets its chance. On a fourth and two they get a first down. On the next fourth and a few, they went right, passed into the end zone,touchdown. Now all they needed was the extra point, and it would be tied again, but they went for two. Zabransky went to pass, he passed, oops, no he didn't, the ball was in his left hand. As soon as he appeared to be passing, everyone moved to the right where the pass was apparently going. When that happened he handed off to Ian Johnson, who went left into the endzone, untouched, and Boise State wins. Needless to say, a lot of people who follow football in this country are stunned this morning.

Hexagram Twenty Four Part II

If we look at the commentary on hexagram twenty four in the third section of Wilhelm/Baynes book, we have the following:

“The hexagram of return, applied to character formation, contains various suggestions. The light principle returns, thus the hexagram counsels turning away from the confusion of external things, turning back to one’s inner light. There, in the depths of the soul, one sees the Divine, the One.”

This is what we have been talking about all along. The science of “Oneness.” By turning our attention inward, looking within, we find that light, so dim at first, but it gradually gets stronger as we spend time in prayer and meditation. The light is within, the Christ child is within. All we need to do is open up to it, to recognize it and realize it within ourselves. By turning inward, we come to realize that everything outside of us is simply a reflection of that which is within us. As above, so below, means as well, as within, so without. “For as a man thinketh within his heart, so is he.” (The book of Proverbs.)

Hexagram Twenty Four

Hexagram twenty four corresponds to the same time period as is traditionally prescribed to the birth of Christ. There is a reason for this, it is at the beginning of the Sun’s transiting into the sign of Capricorn that the Sun (Son) begins to rise again. The days get longer. The sign rises in the sky, in the sense of coming higher in the Northern Hemisphere. The significance of this is that in hexagram twenty four things start to change for the better, and with the birth of Christ, light is given to the nations. The Wilhelm/Baynes commentary says “The movement is natural, arising spontaneously.” In other words, it is not forced, it is a condition due to the times. As the sun rises up over the northern hemisphere, the earth is devoted and receptive to the movement.

As a rule, it is at the beginning of the new year that we make resolutions, resolving to do better and make amends in the new year. The judgment text says, “going out and coming in without error.” The old is over, it is time to start again, to start again on a higher level, This time comes after a time of decay as described in hexagram twenty three.

The time of return applies on both a physical and a spiritual level. For, in fact, the physical level is just a mirror image of the spiritual. Thus the saying, “as above, so below.” Supposedly, the birth of the Christ Child predawns a time of spiritual awakening. He brings us light, in a time of spiritual darkness. The world is immersed deeply into the belief in materialism, that consciousness is merely a phenomenon of material interaction. The Christ child, and the time of Return brings back the light and gives men new hope.

The text of hexagram twenty four says, “Friends come without blame.” When we return to the spiritual way, to the way that brings us light, we allow the entering of “meaningful guests,” in other words, spiritual and cosmic helpers that open our eyes to greater spiritual depths. These guests may be friends we are consciously aware of, or not consciously aware of. When we follow the spiritual path, there is a collapsing of the quantum wave that ultimately is for our good, though for a time it may not seem so. This does not necessarily happen quickly or exactly when we want, but sooner or later it will happen. (Confer with hexagram fifty line four, “But if he will only see to it that he is possessed of something truly spiritual, the time is bound to come, sooner or later, when the difficulties will be resolved, and all will be well.”) “For we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.:” St Paul. There is a big emphasis these days on books that teach that we can follow the heart and all will be provided for us. In a way this is true, but often people try to do this and end up broke and penniless, and totally discouraged. There is one factor that is often left out. We have to be doing the will of God, otherwise it doesn’t work, except in the sense that one may be doing jobs that we love. The universe will normally take care of us, providing we are doing what we are supposed to be doing. One cannot follow their every whim and expect to get rich, normally at least. One must be doing everything possible to know and understand the will of God.

We will get back to this later.

The Illusion

You have to understand, it matters not, whether a hard nosed scientist, or a religious fanatic, or a delusional fool, they are all under a hypnotic trance created by the illusion of a created universe. I will say this, that though it is an illusion, it is a very real illusion, and if you jump off a building, that illusion will kill you, (which actually is an illusion in itself.) The illusion is created by God, (for want of a better word,) in his/her state of rest, creating movement. Movement imposes two limits, the limit of space, and the limit of time, for without space there can be no movement, where would the movement go? Likewise, without time, there can be no movement, it takes time to go from one place to another. So immediately a duality is imposed, the duality of rest versus movement, and the duality of space versus time. Within movement, there is a vibration. Movement is, in effect, a vibration. Once something is no longer at rest, it is vibrating. Things can vibrate at different rates, they can vibrate at different amplitudes, or different frequencies, or a combination of the two, and in so doing, various vibrations create various wave forms, which, in the process of coming together, create a material world. The thought that creates the vibration also creates the impetus for a collapse of the wave function into a material reality. In that sense, the world is real, but in another sense, it is only an illusion because all parts of that material reality are made of the same mind stuff. Therefore, all of us, droplets though we may be, in an infinite ocean, are ultimately that ocean, and it is all one. It is all from the same source, the source being God, or the one creator, or the one whom it is said, “And the word because flesh, (physical) and dwelt among us.” It is also said, “He was in the world, (had sacrificed himself to the material plane, the symbolic meaning of Jesus on the cross) and the world knew him not.” The world does not recognize the source behind material substance. It blindly and foolishly thinks that any consciousness is a result of the play of physical forces, putting the cart before the horse, rather than realizing and accepting that the material world is the result of consciousness. “I am in the Father, and the Father in me.” The Father is in the world, the thought that creates the world, and the world is in the Father, the cosmic Son of the Father, having been created by him. This concept is crucial to a deeper understanding of the I Ching, and indeed, all Eastern religion, or cosmology, as well as crucial to a metaphysical interpretation of Western religious documents.

The Birth of Jesus Part IV

There is much, much more to be said about the birth of Jesus, and I do admit, some of the symbology I still do not understand. A reckoning of all the accounts is somewhat in order here though, and for those who are strictly I Ching lovers, I will finish it off with a short discussion of hexagram twenty four, later that is.

Who knows why there were four specific gospels picked out of all the extant material? There is method in the madness, however. While there is no doubt the church edited the texts to make sure no one found the true deeper doctrine in it, nevertheless, planned or not planned, and I do think someone was watching out for us, there is a wealth of information in the gospels that survived the purges of the Church.

As it is we can look at the four gospels and get four viewpoints, or snapshots of Jesus as the Christ. In the gospel of Matthew Jesus is presented as royalty. As such the birth of a future or present king must be recorded with his royal lineage. In Matthew the royal lineage is recorded, and the birth of Jesus is delineated as that of a king. Notice in this gospel the ones who come are termed as Wise Men, or Magi, for it is only fitting that a king be visited by the Magi, rather than mere (the term mere here being used only for the sake of the argument, it is not intended to take anyone or any group of people lightly, only to make the point) shepherds. Notice also in Matthew there is an emphasis on the rule of Herod, the contemporary king of the Jews. More could be said on this, but lets move on. In the gospel of Mark, Jesus the Christ is portrayed as a servant. It was considered that a servant’s birth is of no accord, so there is no record in Mark of the birth of Jesus. The gospel of Luke portrays the manhood of Jesus. Jesus here is the Son of Man. A man has a birth and a birth is recorded here. In this gospel is recorded a lineage reflecting that of a mere man, not a king. In Luke’s gospel there is a great emphasis on the wonderfulness of the coming of the savior and there is an emphasis on the joy that his birth brings to man. “…To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins, Through the tender mercy of oru God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace…” Little if anything is mentioned of Herod. Once again, more could be said of this, but let’s move on. John emphasizes the Godhood of Jesus. Not that he wasn’t man, not that he was the only true God, but “I and my Father are one,” and, “The Father is in me, and I am in the Father.” Since John is describing the Godhood of Jesus, there is no record of a physical birth, for God does not have a beginning. John does however describe a beginning. Not the beginning of a physical birth, but the beginning of the cosmos. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God.” We can think of this beginning as the beginning of the cosmos, the word being spoken, in other words a thought that creates a vibration that brings materiality into existence. The ultimate element of matter is not an atom, or an electron, or even a photon, not a quark, nor any other fundamental element, but is simply, a thought in the mind of God. Read up on the latest in quantum physics. Einstein had real problems with what quantum physics was relating. Regardless, though I am not a physicist, I can tell you from the testimony of those that are, that a wave does not become a physical element until someone or something observes it. At that point it is said that the wave collapse into reality. (See the recent book called, “The Visionary Window,” By Amit Goswami, PHD, for an excellent discussion on this.) John, in describing that original cosmic birth, goes on to say, “That was the true light that lighteth every man that cometh into the world.” That light is the effect of the original thought of the original cosmic vibration through which everything and every human was created. (For a deep and very interesting discussion on this, see the two volume, sixty dollar set by Paramahansa Yogananda called, “The second coming of Christ.”)

“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become Sons of God, even to them that believeth on his name.” (John, 1:16) He does not say “Sons of Men,” as we might see in other gospels, but Sons of God. In the gospel of John we see Jesus as having the ability and the power to enrich people by making them “Sons of God” This is “putting on the mind of Christ,” and has much in common as that which is in the Eastern doctrines of “developing the spiritual embryo.” The entire Gospel structure is created specifically to let people know how they may become “Christs,” and Joint heirs with Christ, not in the way the church teaches, but in reality, creating the “cosmic marriage between Jesus (as Christ) and Mary, (the term Mary comes from the same root as the English word, marine, or cosmic sea, ocean; in other words the “universal subconscious mind,) or between conscious and subconscious so that one becomes truly creator and co-creator with God. A fully aware and fully integrated human being, as described in the I Ching as the “Chuang Tzu.” Let’s finish this discussion for now. I hope in the future to put much more thought into my dialogues before I blog them so that they may be useful for more than just intellectual knowledge for the reader.

Happy Holidays

A belated happy holidays to all. I have once again been dragged down by lack of sleep and have not kept up with what I want to do. May you all have a joyous new year.

Though it is late, there are still a few things I want to discuss regarding the Christmas story, but I have a pre new years and a new years resolution to make. I never make them, if I did I wouldn't follow them, but these I think I can. First off, I am going to take a little more time on my articles before I put them on the web, so that when I write, it will be in good English and have good sentence structure, and a more coherent message. Second, I hope tomorrow to put a small, regular web page out there that will give me a lot more options, but mainly it will give pointers to different blogger websites that I hope to maintain. Third, I am going to try harder to set aside a specific time to do my tasks, rather than willy nilly whenever, and along with that, focus more on a couple things, to do them well, and not be off on every tangent. I can only do so much, and I need more sleep. Anything else I plan right now is a secret, even from myself. I don't know what my subconscious plans for next year.

Once again, happy holidays, and remember, God is love, or, if you prefer, the cosmos, the Sage, the Universal Subconscious mind is love. So love to all, It is by being equal to love that we become equal to God.

The birth of Jesus Part III

“Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof…” Matthew 2:16.

Herod had intended to deceive the wise men. He told them to return to him to bring him to the child that he may worship, while all the while secretly planning the demise of the child. Now, it turns out, the trickster has been tricked, and he became exceedingly angry. This, you can be sure, is how the ego works. It is always ready to deceive another, but cannot tolerate being deceived itself. It is not only the matter that the plot failed, although that was painful enough, but the ego had been outeggoed, outsmarted, that is. That is worse than having the plan fail, for it informs the ego that it is not master of its own destiny, it cannot control everything and everyone. That is what really stokes the raging fires of the egos anger, someone played the game better than he did. This is the basic nature of humanity. The ego cannot fail to be at war because it is at war with itself. As long as mankind is at war with himself, there will always be wars, rumors of wars, trickery, and deceit. The game of one-upmanship is more powerful, and more important to the ego than life itself. The ego cares not. It’s soul desire is to be top dog, king of the hill, to be, in other words, Herod, or Caesar. Even when a person reaches the top, they cannot stay there, and all most certainly know this, yet no one will give up the game. So we go to war, with our friends we play minor little psychological games, with those further away we play other types of games, all the way up to the level of nations, in which our games involve assault rifles, tanks, bombs and bombers, and even nuclear weapons. We never quit, we never give up, we always have to be top dog, and where does it get us?
