Do I have a new website?

After much discussion with tech support, and after calling them last night and getting nowhere, I worked late into the night to figure out how to upload my files with no success. Figuring I would call tech support again this morning, I got up to find a new file and folder that wasn't there before. Then, upon opening it, I came up with the following:

http://web.tampabay.rr.com/ggerber2/Inner%20truth%20webpage.mht

I do not think it is a regular website address though, and it isn't coming up as a hyperlink here. If anyone can try this, and see what they get... I tried it in Mozilla Firefox and it just came up as html. In internet explorer though, it seems to come up, and not just as a file on my computer.

Hi Gene,

I had a dead computer for a week, but am finally back and up and running completely.

I tried your website address, too, with the same result you had. Given the error message ("This document is a Single File Web Page, also known as a Web Archive file. If you are seeing this message, your browser or editor doesn't support Web Archive files. Please download a browser that supports Web Archive, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer.") it looks like another ploy to force people into using Internet Explorer instead of alternate browsers (I use Firefox). :-P

Hi Michelle

I will check out your new website. I was a little discouraged for a while thinking no one was reading any more, intended to go on writing anyway, but have found a lot of other things to do lately. Tomorrow I go back to work, but in the evening will try to get back into the swing of things.

I think it is just Tampa Bay Roadrunner that does this and creates this problem. They only allow a small website, but I have not even called them to find out what was going on. A friend said he has a free website through lycos though, and I might check that out. Still, a search engine is out of the question, they charge per click, at least the ones I have checked so far, and who knows how many people will click on your site. One thing I do know, I need to attract more people to this site and I do not know how.

One thing I was thinking of, I do not know if you have any interest at all, but I thought, since you are a regular here, and knowledgeable on the I Ching, to consider you as a cocreator of the site. Any ideas on this?

Gene

Hi Gene,

I sent you an email since I figured a conversation via comments would be a little difficult!
